Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to manage and oversee our financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will support our finance team in various accounting tasks and contribute to the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in line with company policies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist in credit risk assessment and ensure compliance with credit policies.
• Work closely with the sales team to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and industry regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and finance teams to streamline financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws is an advantage.
