Account/Admin Officer

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Account/Admin Officer to manage our financial records, handle administrative tasks, and support day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and office administration, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Duties:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
  • Process payments, prepare cheques, and manage petty cash transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and vendors as needed.

Administrative Duties:

  • Oversee general office operations including procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for both physical and electronic records.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage office schedules, and support HR-related tasks.
  • Monitor facility needs and ensure a well-organized, efficient working environment.
  • Handle correspondence and manage communication between departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Living on the Lagos Island or Yaba axis is an added advantage for accessibility and prompt responsiveness.
