YOUR ROLE

You will be based in Lagos, Nigeria, within our local CMA CGM structure.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be integrated into the Finance Team and participate in different aspects of the accounting and controlling functions to ensure the reliability of the information.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Internal Controls and Compliance :

Support the team in maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group procedure.

Participate in the implementation and in the establishment of accounting and financial procedures.

Budget and Forecast: Participate in the development of the annual budget.

Revenue/Cost control:

Support the team in the monitoring of expenses and revenues compared to the projected budget.

Identify variances and propose corrective actions.

Month end closing: Participate in the month end activities and review the accounting records. Monthly analysis and reporting to both the CFO and the supporting manager.

Treasury: Participate in the cash flow and banks reconciliation.

Finance transformation: Be a key player in the Agency finance transformation.

Accounting: Participate in all operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the French National Service Code, only candidates aged between 18 and 28 who are European nationals will be eligible for this VIE program.

5 years’ higher education in Accounting/Finance

Fluent in English and French

Analytical skills and business acumen

Presentation and good communication skills

Ability to work in an international environment and work in/manage remote teams

Autonomous and driving for results

Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint)

Being a good team player and be able to work with minimal supervision
