Job description:

Provide support and assistance for pupil’s pastoral needs.

A deep understanding of academic and pastoral support procedures

Promote students’ personal, social and emotional development appropriate to their developmental stage.

Support with identification of social emotional and behavioural barriers to learning and coordinating support and training.

Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures in a school context is essential.

Provide appropriate interventions to assist pupils with school related problems and issues.

Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to create tailored support plans for students.

Understand and implement school child protection and safeguarding procedures.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in counselling, clinical psychology or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a School Counselor/ Head of Pastoral in an international school

Relevant Certification.

Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to supporting young people.

Functional IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft office tools and relevant software.

Maintain confidential records in line with school safeguarding policies and best practice standards

Excellent written and communication skills.

Commitment to good work ethics and discipline.

Effective planning and organizing skills and the ability to pay attention to details

Suitability to work with children.
