Job description:
As a Risk Data Analyst, you will be responsible for utilizing data analysis to identify and evaluate potential risks/fraud on the platform. You will use your expertise in statistics, data analysis, and programming to develop and maintain risk models/flags and dashboards. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions to identify, mitigate, and monitor risk & fraud. You do this by:
Analysis of large datasets to identify patterns and trends.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
Managing data from other sources, some of which cannot be captured on our platform.
Communicating findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Continuously monitoring and updating risk models/flags to ensure they remain accurate and relevant.
Creating visualizations and reports to effectively communicate results.
Keeping up-to-date with new developments in data science and risk management to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
About you
You think logically and come up with practical solutions in order to solve issues. You have an eye for the smaller details, and ensure that tasks are followed up in a timely manner. You’re a problem solver and can work well independently.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, computer science).
A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a data analytics role.
Proficient in data visualization and reporting using Tableau (mandatory) and other tools.
Experience with R (or Python) programming language and relevant packages is mandatory
Familiarity with machine learning and predictive modeling.
Strong communication skills to clearly present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

The salary brackets per month for this position is CFA654,079 – CFA694,968 in Burkina Faso, €1,341 – €1,424 in Ethiopia, Ksh187,872 – Ksh199,614 in Kenya, €1,897 – €2,015 in Portugal, €2,953 – €3,137 in the Netherlands, R36,774 – R39,041 in South Africa and in Uganda. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
