Job description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payment Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring all our payment processes adhere to the strict regulations set forth by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The successful candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, and passion for ensuring financial transactions are compliant and secure.
What You will Do
Process and reconcile all incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, adhering to all reporting requirements.
Liaise with external parties such as banks and third-party payment processors.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal payment procedures.
Monitor and identify potential fraud or suspicious activity, and report any concerns promptly.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls for all payment processes.
Stay up-to-date on the latest regulations and guidance related to payments, and keep relevant stakeholders informed.
Oversee the safeguarding of Client Money.
What You Should Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or similar qualification a plus).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an FCA-regulated environment.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, particularly those related to payments (e.g., PSD2, AML/CFT).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of spreadsheets.
