Marketing Strategy & Execution
Assist in developing a comprehensive annual marketing plan for Think Canada Education Fair, including digital and traditional marketing channels.
Coordinate the design and implementation of promotional campaigns across multiple platforms (social media, email, website, print, etc.) to maximize event attendance and engagement.
Conduct market research to understand target audiences, assess competitors, and identify new growth opportunities within international student recruitment.
Content Development & Digital Marketing
Create and curate engaging content (social media posts, blog articles, videos, infographics) tailored to prospective students interested in studying in Canada.
Manage and grow social media accounts on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X and TikTok to increase visibility and follower engagement.
Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic to the event website.
Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other PPC initiatives to increase event registrations.
Lead Generation & Conversion
Develop strategies for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion to ensure a steady flow of qualified attendees.
Track and analyze lead sources, conversion rates, and campaign performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimize marketing efforts.
Collaborate with the sales and event registration teams to ensure seamless data flow and follow-up with leads generated through marketing campaigns.
Event Marketing & Partnerships
Work with partner institutions to co-create marketing materials and promote their participation in Think Canada Education Fair.
Coordinate on-site promotional activities, including banners, brochures, flyers, and digital displays, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
Develop relationships with local and international educational institutions, agencies, and organizations to expand outreach and attract a diverse audience to the event.
Analytics & Reporting
Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns, assessing against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ROI, conversion rates, engagement metrics, and website traffic.
Use data insights to optimize campaigns, making recommendations for future campaigns and adjusting tactics as needed.
Monitor and analyze attendee feedback to improve future events and adapt marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within education or event marketing.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
Experience with content creation, social media management, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Facebook Business Manager).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content.
Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of the international student recruitment market, especially Canada-focused.
Proficiency in graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, such as HubSpot or Mailchimp.
Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus, especially French, as it may help in engaging diverse audiences.
