Job description:

We seek a Marketing Lead with 3+ years of experience developing and executing marketing strategies for consumer products. As the Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all marketing activities, driving creative campaigns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company’s overall business goals, identifying target audiences, and implementing effective strategies to reach them.
  • Campaign Management: Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including BTL, ATL, digital, and other relevant platforms.
  • Brand Management: Act as a brand champion, ensuring throughout all marketing materials and communication, maintaining a strong brand image in the market. Also act as ‘brand police’ to monitor placement and use of branded material and adherence to guidelines.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitors, and leverage this data to make data-driven decisions and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Trade marketing: Lead the planning and oversee the execution of field marketing activities to drive sales and brand visibility.
  • Leadership: Lead, collaborate with, and motivate colleagues, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment that yields results. Championing SunFi culture and values. Managing not just internal collaboration but cross-collaboration across the organization to create value. Driving your professional development.
  • Process Development: Building, documenting, storing, sharing, and training teams and the company on processes you develop or optimize.
  • Public Relations (PR): Collaborate with the relevant teams to enhance the company’s reputation through effective communication and media relations.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify strategic partnerships and collaborations that align with the company’s objectives, fostering mutually beneficial relationships to expand the brand’s reach.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track, analyze and report on the performance of all marketing activities, including ROI and recommendations for optimization.
  • Budget management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal ROI on relevant spend.
  • Market Insights: Monitor and report competitor activities and/or general market insights, with recommendations on how to address any existing risks or threats to the business.
  • Company protection & regulatory compliance: Following regulatory, ethical, and company standards used in managing and developing the brand.

Leadership and People Development:

  • Support efforts to collaborate with the company’s leadership to train SunFi talent.
  • Supports the development of SunFi and Marketing Team OKRs and KPIs, including individual KPIs within the Marketing team.
  • A focus on value creation for the company, not task orientation.
  • Display and exercise business leadership practices within the company and with stakeholders.
  • Support the recruitment, management, mentorship, and development of the Marketing team to innovatively and competently deliver the results required of the team.
  • Responsible for performance management, training needs analysis and optimization of the team’s personnel.
  • Evaluate, and where possible, build thought leadership within SunFi that enhances the company culture and values.
  • Conduct weekly informal check-ins with all team members. These are unstructured scheduled meetings in which your team member and you can discuss areas of your interest, professional or personal. Emphasis should be placed on relationship-building
  • Runs meetings on the Marketing team with the coaching and support of your Manager, and the Head of the department.
  • Advocates for the SunFi culture including ensuring team members use video as much as possible during meetings. You must be exemplary.

Reporting

  • Responsible for structuring and communicating key feedback to Technology, Growth, Platform Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Responsible for mastering the SunFi Technology SunFi Platform and Media Channels
  • Responsible for Marketing reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis on performance, strategies, OKRs, KPIs, developments, challenges, and other key requirements
  • Responsible for recommending and leveraging the right tools for reports and developing insights
  • On-time, insightful, and value-added reporting on key metrics which can result in strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a lead position.
  • Previous experience in B2C, trade, retail marketing and/or FMCG or marketing agency (with extensive field/BTL marketing and engagement of wholesale and retail partners) will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of successful sales-driven marketing campaign development and execution.
  • Master’s in Marketing or Business Administration is a plus
  • Previous agency or fintech experience is a plus
  • Experience reporting to and working with Senior Executives a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦500,000.00 – ₦650,000.00 per month

Experience: Marketing: 3 years (Preferred)
