Job description:
The Junior Accountant is saddled with the responsibility of keeping all general ledger and bank statement reconciliation, preparing accurate journal entries, periodic reporting of transactions, and recording all credit transactions while assisting the Finance Manager in all finance-related duties.
Responsibilities
Utilizing the organization’s accounting software and billing system for work.
Perform various account analyses and reconciliations that include payables and receivables.
Daily posting of all payment and expense transactions.
Submission of monthly bank reconciliation statement.
Managing and disbursing petty cash and office expenses.
Compute, remit, and file all PAYE records.
Post debits and credits.
Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Confirmation of payments made by clients.
Prompt processing of refund claims made by clients.
Filling and remitting all other tax and financial obligations.
Plan, initiate, and conduct stock takes.
Requirements
Graduate of Account, Banking & Finance.
2-3 years of experience as an Accountant
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
Detailed knowledge of accounting processes and methods.
Excellent analytical reporting skills.
Inventory management systems and stock tracking knowledge are an added advantage.
Efficient communication and interaction skills.
Ability to prioritize and deliver appropriately on all assigned tasks/functions.
Proximity to Lekki/Ajah is a plus.
Salary:N150,000 – N170,000 Monthly.
