Job description: To monitor the financial operations of the branch; as well as purchasing, projects’ accounting, and stores operations, and ensure compliant and effective operations in these departments. The Internal Control Auditor shall also, assess, analyze, and report key metric related to those departments and take corrective actions in coordination with the Financial Controller
Responsibilities
Assists in the management of the branch team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning, in order to maximize team performance and achieve branch objectives.
Overview and follow the daily operations and activities of subordinate accounting; purchasing and stores personnel; including cash reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, invoicing, vendor and bank reconciliations.
Coordinate all the financial day-to-day activities with the financial controller as well as report all upcoming financial issues for coordinated direction on action to take; and issue all relevant reports requested.
Warehouse Operations Monitoring – Direct – in coordination with HOD’s – warehouse employees in the storage, inventory, and distribution of materials, supplies, parts, components, and tools; as well as ensure inventory accuracy through daily monitoring of warehouse activities, and reports and investigates stock discrepancies.
Prepare operations and branch performance summary reports as may be requested by the branch or by management.
Ensure the sound application of the all financial processes; and the compliance with issuing all needed documents and attaining all necessary approvals to them as per the set policy and quality Management System requirements. Investigates and reports any activity with potential risk or fraud on the company to management.
Review issued Purchase Orders and approve as per the set approval limits; and forward to the branch manager for values higher than those limit.
Monitor and review the purchasing department budget and operate within approved limits of purchasing.
Stock Control and Reorder Level – Study spare parts orders – based on the set reorder level – periodically; and give opinion with the warehouse and store supervisor(s) in placing orders based on it and on forecasted sales. Also re-assess the re-order level when – and as frequently needed – in coordination and consultation with the Financial Controller
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities as well as conduct quarterly inventory checking for stock items and fixed assets; and submit final report to branch manager and audit department.
Academic Qualifications/Skills Requirements
- Bachelors degree preferable in Accounting. Master’s preferred or X certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years years’ experience in a similar role
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- ICAN is recommended.

Pay: ₦150,000.00 – ₦200,000.00 per month
