Job description:
As an HR Officer, you play a pivotal role in managing various HR functions within the organization. You are responsible for implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the company’s overall mission and objectives.
Your role involves recruiting and onboarding employees, managing employee relations, maintaining HR records, and ensuring legal compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Provide comprehensive support in recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, training, and ensuring necessary paperwork completion.
Employee Relations:
Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner, fostering a positive work environment.
Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives to promote a healthy workplace culture.
HR Policies and Compliance:
Assist in developing, updating, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with legal requirements and company standards.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies across all HR activities.
Performance Management:
Support performance management processes such as goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and HR databases.
Process payroll and benefits administration tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
Job Specification
Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3 years+ of proven experience in anHR role
Experience in Hospitality is a MUST
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Google workspace
Lives on the Lagos Island or close
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment and labour laws, and regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
