Job description:

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Assists the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
IFRS Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in IFRS regulations and ensure the organization’s financial practices are in line with these standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations to management.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including variance analysis and trend identification.
Audit Preparation: Prepare financial documents and schedules for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, recommending strategies to optimize cash resources and minimize risks.
Financial Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Tax Compliance: Assist in tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
Financial Systems: Utilize financial software and systems to maintain accurate records and streamline financial processes.
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Certification is an added advantage.
A 2 – year hands -on experience is the threshold. 5 years would be optimal
Proficiency in financial software and systems, with advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience from a big 4 will be an added advantage.
