Factory Operative

Job description:

We are looking for a production worker to join our team and help improve our warehouse’s production line.

You will perform various tasks, including maintaining and operating the machinery and search for potential malfunctions or risks. You will transfer the products and equipment, using power tools. You will also keep the facility clean by removing debris and trash to ensure safety. Note that this position demands stamina and a good physical condition, as you will have to regularly lift heavy loads.

Responsibilities:

1. Operation and maintenance of machinery/ working tools
2. Calibration of equipment for daily use and reporting malfunctions to team leaders, or supervisors.
3. Product labeling and ensuring accuracy
4. Store products and materials
5. Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials
6. Monitoring and updating of stock levels on warehouse computer and keeping strict traceability records of production.
7. Maintaining a flexible approach to work to meet team based work requirements.
8. Observing and maintaining safety levels with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipment.
9. Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene.
10. Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products
11. Transfer equipment manually or with pallet trucks
12. Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines.
13. Liaising and communicating with other team members.
14. Packing products or components for shipment or further processing
15. To undertake other duties within the production team and the wider business as deemed reasonable by the organization.

Requirements and skills

• Must have at least Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE)
• Previous experience as a production worker or similar role in a warehouse
• Good understanding of how production equipment works
• Ability to detect potential problems
• Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures (safety gear will be provided)
• Ability to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦45,000.00 – ₦55,000.00 per month

License/Certification: Driver’s license (Preferred)
