ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Job description: 

As an Electrical Technician at our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment. Working closely with our engineering and maintenance teams, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components and systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to motors, generators, transformers, and control panels.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and diagnose faults in wiring, circuits, and other electrical components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement electrical systems for new projects or upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and spare parts inventory.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.

Requirements:

• OND in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in electrical systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Sound knowledge of electric motor principles of operation.

Experience:Proven experience as an electrical technician, with a minimum of 2 years in industrial settings.

Analytical Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.

Communication Skills:

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Team Collaboration: the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₦70,000.00–₦75,000.00 per month
