Accountant / Tax Specialist

Job description:
An exciting role has come up at BantuPage for a young, vibrant accountant. The role will involve taking charge of all our financial, annual, and tax returns, as well as all legal matters related to financing. You are required to have the necessary qualifications and experience, which will be vetted. We seek an accountant/tax specialist who can handle all accounting tasks, including filing annual and tax returns. We’re in need of someone who can hit the ground running. If you’re not available to start immediately, we kindly ask that you refrain from applying. If you also happen to have IT skills, particularly in [specific IT skills], that would be a great asset. This way, you can contribute to the team’s ad hoc tasks, whether we’re in the office or working remotely. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, without any unnecessary shortcuts. It’s also preferable if you live on the island or in a location that allows for easy access to the island. This is because the role is a hybrid one, requiring you to be in the office at times.

Responsibilities:
Establishing budget objectives
Preparing tax returns
Reconcile accounts
Taxation
Financial reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records
Preparing monthly and annual accounts
Auditing
Perform audits
Manage staff contracts, salaries, remunerations, sick leave, holidays, etc
Apply accounting principles
Prepare and review invoices
Computing taxes
Perform audits
Corporate document maintenance
Manage all accounting transactions
Requirements:
One year of accounting experience
Advanced knowledge of MS 365 and other interface
Faultless command of the English language
